The efficient inoculant for high-moisture corn


BONSILAGE HMC WS contains a proven combination of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) that creates a distinctive fermentation pattern for high-moisture corn silages. The product rapidly lowers the pH level, and then controlled acetic acid formation stabilizes the silage and provides protection against reheating. BONSILAGE HMC WS also releases propylene glycol, which is a glucogenic precursor.

Mode of action
  • Lb. plantarum and Pc. acidilactici quickly lower the pH level by producing lactic acid in the beginning of the fermentation cycle
  • Lb. buchneri releases acetic acid to inhibit yeast and mold, which reduces the risk of reheating and the shrinkage that often occurs during feed out
  • Lb. buchneri produces propylene glycol, which acts as a glucogenic precursor in the metabolism of the cow and helps prevent Ketosis
